One of three industrial estates in the SW of Glenrothes In Fife, Viewfield is located a mile (1.5 km) southwest of the town centre. Its neighbours are Whitehill and Southfield industrial estates. Its street-names are American (Boston, Baltimore and Detroit), reflecting the desire for inward investment from the USA. Glenrothes Police Station, located immediately to the west on Detroit Road, was once the Headquarters of Fife Constabulary until the merger of the Scottish regional police forces in 2013.
