Crown

A district of Inverness, Crown lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southeast of the city centre. Located here are Crown Primary School (1880) - built as Inverness High School - and the former Midmills Building of UHI-Inverness College (previously Inverness Technical College. This was originally built as Inverness Royal Academy in 1895 and extended in 1913, 1925 and 1961). The earlier parts of the building are now (in 2020) being converted into premises for the WASPS Artists' Studios. Crown Church dates from 1901 and lies on Kingsmills Road.
