Poet's Glen

A small wooded valley in SW Edinburgh, the Poet's Glen descends from Kinleith to the Water of Leith opposite Currie. It is named after the weaver-poet James Thomson (1763 - 1832) who lived at Mid Kinleith. The glen contains the Kinleith Burn and provides a riverside walk which is a recognised right-of-way.
