Eilean Mhic Chiarain

A small uninhabited low-lying island of the Inner Hebrides, Eilean Mhic Chiarain lies in the Sound of Luing, less than a quarter-mile (0.4 km) west of Luing and 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of Cullipool. The island is oval in shape, but with a pronounced 'tail' to the south. It is linked to several islets around it at low tide.
