Eilean Fladday

An island of the Inner Hebrides, Eilean Fladday lies off the northwest coast of Raasay, opposite Skye, 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Portree. The island is connected to Raasay by a causeway which crosses the sound called Caol Fladday. Once home to a small crofting population who had their own school, the properties on the island are now holiday homes. The island rises to 39m (127 feet) in its far northwest and supports a small loch (Loch Mor) and two small lochans.
