Pitcorthie

A residential district of Dunfermline (W Fife), lying 2 miles (3 km) southeast of the town centre, Pitcorthie was once the farms of Wester and Easter Pitcorthie. A 1.5-m (5-foot) high standing stone, which remains as a feature in a small area of parkland amongst the houses, has suffered due to vandals.

This area should not be confused with two other Pitcorthies (in E Fife) which also have standing stones.
