Cartsdyke Railway Station

A railway station serving Greenock, Cartsdyke (Gael: Gàradh Cairte) lies on the Inverclyde Line, 1½ miles (2.3 km) east southeast of Greenock town centre and a quarter-mile (0.5 km) north northeast of Bridgend. This station opened in 1870 on the Glasgow, Paisley and Greenock line of the Caledonian Railway. Operated by ScotRail, Cartsdyke Station is staffed part-time and is used by around 120,000 passengers per annum (2015). It is preceded by Bogston Railway Station, a mile (1.5 km) to the east southeast, and followed by Greenock Central, a similar distance to the west northwest.
