A lochan in the Inverness district of Highland Council Area, Lochan an Eoin Ruadha lies on the Ashie Moor, between Loch Ness and Loch Duntelchaig, 2 miles (3 km) south southeast of Dores. The eastern shores of the lochan are surrounded by plantation forest.
