Benbrack

A summit of Dumfries and Galloway, almost completely surrounded by plantation forest, Benbrack rises to 580m (1902 feet) on the Southern Upland Way, 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Moniaive and 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Sanquhar. One of Andy Goldsworthy's Striding Arches is located near the summit. Confusingly, there are two other Benbracks lying close to each other 10 miles (16 km) to the west northwest and yet two more located 13 miles (21 km) to the southwest.
