St Ninian's Community Woodland

A small area of deciduous woodland planted around the western edge of St Ninian's Opencast coal mine, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) north of Loch Fitty and 1¼ miles (2 km) northeast of Bowershall. Developed with assistance from the Coal Authority and the Community Woodlands Scheme, St Ninian's Wood includes more than twenty different tree species. A path extends through the woodland from Loch Fitty.
