A salt-marsh on the west side of the Nith Estuary in Dumfries and Galloway, Kirkconnell Merse lies opposite Glencaple 5 miles (8 km) south of Dumfries. Noted for its bird-life, it forms part of the Nith Estuary National Scenic Area (NSA).
