The Braid Burn Bridge lies just to the west of Duddingston Road West in Edinburgh, on a walking and cycle route which follows the former Innocent Railway. This unique little cast-iron beam bridge was built 1827-31 by James Jardine (1776 - 1858) and represents one of the oldest railway bridges in Scotland. It comprises a cast-iron girder skew bridge with a span of 5.5-m (18-foot). The bridge was manufactured by the Shotts Iron Company and is now B-listed.
