A small loch in the Tingwall district of the Shetland Mainland, the Loch of Asta is located 1¼ miles (2 km) north northeast of Scalloway. It is fed by a small stream from the Loch of Tingwall to the north and drains into the East Voe of Scalloway. The loch is stocked with trout by the Shetland Angling Association.
