Acairseid Mhor

A sea loch on the west coast of the island of Rona in the Inner Hebrides, Acairseid Mhor (or Big Harbour) lies 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of Dry Harbour and 11 miles (18 km) northeast of Portree on Skye. The island of Eilean Garbh lies in its mouth. Rona Lodge overlooks Acairseid Mhor from the north. Built as a shooting lodge for the island's then owner George Rainy in 1866 and restored to habitation in the 1990s, this is the island's only permanently occupied residence.
