Airde More

(Airde Mor, Airde Mhor)

A promontory on the northern shore of West Loch Tarbert in the Outer Hebrides, Airde More (also Airde Mor or Airde Mhor) lies between Govick Bay and Loch Leosavay, to the west of Amhuinnsuidhe and 9 miles (14.5 km) northwest of Tarbert. The B887 road extends northwest into North Harris and cuts across the northern margin of Airde More. The land here rises to three rocky summits; Sithean Mor (96m / 314 feet), Cleit Conachro (106m / 347 feet) and an un-named hill which reaches 109m (357 feet).
