Dunfermline Bus Station

A strikingly modern bus station located on Queen Anne Street in the town centre, Dunfermline Bus Station was opened by Councillor Peter Grant, leader of Fife Council, on 23rd April 2008. The project cost £6.3 million and comprised fourteen bus stances and a two-storey building, which contains a ticket office, toilets, café, retail kiosk, and passenger lockers. Around 3500 buses leave the station weekly. Dunne Building was the contractor responsible for design and construction, while the civil engineering was undertaken by Fife Council's Transportation Services.

Previously the bus station lay to the east of the Kingsgate Shopping Centre, which was subsequently extended to occupy the space, with the centre owners providing a considerable financial contribution to build this new bus station.
