A tiny lochan, one of a number of small lochs on the Dunnet Head peninsula in N Caithness, Black Loch is located on the western slopes of Dunnet Hill, 2¼ miles (3.5 km) west of Brough and 2½ miles (4 km) northwest of Dunnet. There is another lochan of the same name located 1¼ miles (2 km) to the east northeast.
