The Houb

A semi-enclosed body of water on the E coast of the Northmavine peninsula, within Sullom Voe, on the N coast of the Mainland of Shetland, The Houb is located 4 miles (6.5 km) north northeast of Isleburgh. The sand bar of Long Ayre extends from the western shore, almost enclosing the water body. Fugla Ness lies immediately to the east. There is a bay with the same name only a mile (1.6 km) to the south southwest.
