An inlet on the E coast of the Northmavine peninsula in the N of the Mainland of Shetland, Gluss Voe widens at its head and 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the north northeast opens into Yell Sound. Its eastern shore is formed by Gluss Isle and the voe would be a channel were it not for a narrow tombolo connecting Gluss Isle to the shore.
