A low five-span bridge which crosses the River Tweed close to its junction with the Manor Water, 1¼ miles (2 km) west southwest of Peebles, the elegant Manor Bridge was built in 1883 to replace a ford. It is built of rubble, with details in sandstone ashlar and round cutwaters. Part of its cost came from the estate of David Kidd, proprietor of Inveresk Paper Mills, who invented the modern gummed envelope. It has been B-listed since 1971.
