Hay Lodge Park

(Haylodge Park)

Located on Neidpath Road, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west of the centre of Peebles in the Scottish Borders, Hay Lodge Park (also Haylodge Park) lies on the north bank of the River Tweed. Noted for its swathes of spring bulbs and summer bedding, the park includes some fine specimen trees. A pair of oak trees were planted here in 2009 in memory of the publishing brothers William and Robert Chambers, and the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Chambers Institution. A network of footpaths lead to a pleasant riverside walk. Facilities include rugby pitches and a children's play area. Haylodge Park is the venue for events such as the Peebles Highland Games and the Peebles Agricultural Show.
