Gearr Abhainn

A short stretch of brackish river which connects Dubh Loch with Loch Shira, an arm of Loch Fyne, the Gearr Abhainn (Gaelic for 'short river') is located 1½ miles (2.5 km) north northeast of the settlement of Inveraray. It is only a third-of-a-mile (0.5 km) in length and is effectively the final stretch of the River Shira.
