Lady Mary's Wood

A small wood in Central Fife, Lady Mary's Wood occupies part of the northwestern slopes of Walton Hill 1¼ miles (2 km) southeast of Springfield. Within the wood is a much-denuded Iron-Age hill-fort, although three lines of ramparts can still be seen on its western side. Within the hill-fort is the Crawford Mausoleum built c.1760, with a Roman Doric portico.
