Biod an Athair

A spectacular summit on the west coast of the Duirinish Peninsula of the Isle of Skye (Highland), Biod an Athair (meaning 'sky peak') rises to 313m (1026 feet) 1½ miles (2.5 km) west northwest of Galtrigill and a similar distance southwest of Dunvegan Head. It represents the highest point on the sea-cliffs on the west coast of the island, and its summit is marked by a triangulation point just metres from an edge which falls steeply into the Little Minch.
