A summit of Upper Teviotdale in the SW Scottish Borders, Harwood Rig rises to 393m (1289 feet) a mile (1.5 km) north northeast of Skelfhill Pen and 2½ miles (4 km) east southeast of Teviothead. Its western slopes are covered with plantation forest, which extends over the adjacent Goat Hill.
