A small loch within Lanark Moor Country Park (South Lanarkshire), Lanark Loch is located 1¼ miles (2 km) east southeast of Lanark town centre, next to the former racecourse. The 4.9-ha (12-acre) loch is a popular venue for course fishing, having been stocked with carp in the 1960s, although many were lost when it was accidentally drained some years later. The loch contains a small wooded island.
