Inchgarth Reservoir

Inchgarth Reservoir is situated on the north bank of the River Dee, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) southeast of Cults and 3 miles (5 km) southwest of the centre of Aberdeen. Built in the 1980s, it is held within earth embankments. Operated by Scottish Water to supply drinking water, the reservoir is also used for sailing, while a nature reserve occupies the adjacent wetland.
