Loch Etchachan A large corrie loch in the Cairngorm Mountains, Aberdeenshire, Loch Etchachan lies between Ben Macdui and Beinn Mheadhoin. It extends to 26.3 ha / 65 acres. Loch Etchachan is the source of the Derry Burn which flows out through Little Loch Etchachan and then turns southwards before becoming the Lui Water and flowing on into the Dee.
