Glenrazie Wood

An eastern section of the Penninghame Forest in NW Dumfries and Galloway, Glenrazie Wood lies to the north of Glenrazie and the B7027 road. This wood predated the Forestry Commission's acquisition of the land, having been planted by the Penninghame Estate in the 19th C. The fine coniferous trees were felled in the late 1960s and replaced with planting now indistinguishable from the surrounding forest. Glenrazie is now managed by Forestry and Land Scotland.
