Loch Trool A loch in Galloway Forest Park, Loch Trool lies just over 8 miles (13 km) north of Newton Stewart in the heart of Glentrool Forest. It is 17m (55 feet) deep and is drained by the Water of Trool which flows southwestwards for 4 miles (6.5 km) through Glen Trool to join the Water of Minnoch.
