A Munro peak in the Badenoch and Strathspey district of Highland Council Area, Geal Charn rises to 1132m (3714 feet) and is one of four peaks on the ridge between Strath Ossian and Loch Pattack. The name Geal Charn is derived from the Gaelic for 'white hill'. There are other hills named Geal Charn located 4½ miles (7 km) to the north northeast (which is also a Munro) and 15 miles (24 km) to the north.
