Carn Dearg

A summit in the Nether Lorn district of Argyll and Bute, Carn Dearg (meaning "red hill" in Gaelic) rises to 437m (1433 feet), ¾ mile (1.2 km) south of Loch Scammadale and a mile (1.5 km) southwest of Bragleenmore. There are other Carn Deargs in the vicinity; one rising to 428m / 1404 feet 4 miles (6.5 km) to the east, another of 282m / 925 feet 6 miles (10 km) to the southwest and a third reaching 336m / 1102 feet a similar distance to the east northeast.
