A modest summit in the Nether Lorn district of Argyll and Bute, Carn Dearg rises to 336m (1102 feet), a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Loch Nant and 3 miles (5 km) west of Kilchrenan. There is another Carn Dearg located 2 miles (3.2 km) west southwest.
