One of several lesser summits which surround Great Hill in the Auchencairn Forest of NE Dumfries and Galloway, Auchencairn Height rises to 309m (1013 feet) 2½ miles (4 km) east southeast of Closeburn. This hill plays host to a pair of cairns.
