Barraer Fell

A rocky hill in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Barraer Fell rises to 123m (403 feet) 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Newton Stewart. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar and the hill is composed of greywacke of Silurian age. The Merton Hall plantation surrounds the hill and covers much of its slopes.
