A hill in Dumfries and Galloway, Boreland Fell rises to just 90m (295 feet) 1½ miles (2.4 km) southeast of Kirkcowan and a similar distance northwest of Spittal. A quarry has eaten into its northeastern slopes since the 1930s, extracting greywacke for use in road construction.
