Milldown A grassy summit which forms part of the ridge known as the Rhinns of Kells in the Galloway Hills, Milldown rises to 738m (2421 feet) a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Meikle Millyea and 6 miles (10 km) west of St. John's Town of Dalry. Its western slopes are cloaked by plantation woodland which form part of the Galloway Forest Park, while its steep and craggy eastern slopes overlook Loch Dungeon.
