Loch Killin

A small loch in the Monadhliath Mountains in Inverness-shire, Loch Killin is located 9½ miles (15 km) east of Fort Augustus. Extending to 47.7 ha / 118 acres, it receives the River Killin and is the source of the River Fechlin. The loch gave its name to a Royal Navy frigate launched in Burntisland in 1944.
