A crescent-shaped summit in E Dumfries & Galloway, Shaw Hill rises to 400m (1312 feet) on the edge of plantation forest, a half-mile (1 km) east northeast of Calkin Rig and 1½ miles (2.5 km) southwest of Bentpath. There is another Shaw Hill located just 2½ miles (4 km) to the south.
