The largest of a group of small lochs on the steeply-sloping southern shore of Loch Ness in Highland Council Area, Loch Knockie is located at an altitude of 215m (705 feet) a quarter-mile (0.4 km) east of Knockie Lodge and 2¾ miles (4.5 km) southeast of Invermoriston. Surrounded by forest, the loch includes four islets and a crannog.
