One of the Lammermuir Hills of East Lothian, Summer Hill rises to 315m (1033 feet) on the north shore of the Whiteadder Reservoir, 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Garvald. The remains of Gamelshiel Castle is located on its northern slopes.
