A ridge summit in Sutherland, Highland Council Area, Carn Dearg rises to 797m (2614 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Meallan Liath Coire Mhic Dhughaill and 3 miles (5 km) northeast of the southern end of Loch More. Its northern slopes descend steeply into corries.
