A low-lying body of water located in the machair, protected from the sea behind sand dunes, on the west coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Loch Hallan (Gael: Loch Thallan) lies a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Daliburgh and a mile (1.5 km) south of Askernish.
