Black Hill

A broad summit in North Lanarkshire, Black Hill rises to 285m (935 feet) at an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar situated ¾ mile (1.2 km) northeast of Roughrigg Reservoir and 1½ miles (2.5 km) north of Salsburgh. The hill is best known for the Black Hill Transmitting Station, a prominent combination of masts which provide terrestrial television and radio signals to much of Central Scotland.
