A summit of the Scottish Borders, Lanton Hill rises to 281m (923 feet) to the south of Lanton and 1¾ miles (2.8 km) west of Jedburgh. There are two ancient hill-forts and a group of farms around the summit. Both hill-forts include concentric defences and both have been damaged by agricultural activity.
