A rounded summit in the Scottish Borders, marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar, Kirk Hill rises to 282m (925 feet) 1½ miles (2.5 km) southwest of Newcastleton. There is an oval hill fort surrounding the summit, protected by a double ditch.
