River Fyne

A substantial river in E Argyll and Bute, the River Fyne rises as headstreams to the east and southeast of Beinn Bhoidheach and Beinn Bhreac, and flows east through Glen Fyne to a point 1½ miles (2.5 km) east northeast of Ceann Garbh. Here it turns southwest for 3 miles (5 km) to receive the Allt na Lairige and continues in this direction for a further 3¾ miles (6 km) to fall into the head of Loch Fyne. The length of the river is 9 miles (15 km).
