Fell Hill

A summit of in the Carrick district of South Ayrshire, Fell Hill reaches a height of 248m / 813 feet, 2 miles (3 km) north northwest of Pinwherry and 3½ miles (5.5 km) east of Lendalfoot. Aldons Hill rises immediately to the east. The rocks here belong to the Balcreuchan Group, part of the Ballantrae ophiolite complex, an unusual preserved slice of ocean crust. Confusingly, there are other summits named Fell Hill just 2¼ miles (3.5 km) to the north northwest and 7 miles (11 km) to the east.
