Ward Hill

Representing the highest point on the island of South Ronaldsay in Orkney, Ward Hill rises to 118m (387 feet) between Lythes and Linklater, 3 miles (5 km) south of St Margaret's Hope. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar (installed 1948-49) and a communications mast. There is another Ward Hill on Hoy 16 miles (26 km) west northwest, which represents the highest point on the Orkney.
