One of a pair of summits in the southeast of the Northmavine peninsula in the N of the Shetland Mainland, Virdins rises to 102m (334 feet) just over a mile (1.8 km) south southeast of North Gluss. It lies directly south of the marginally higher Hill of Bardister.
